The Challenge

Food Waste & Hunger Gap

In Yogyakarta, a lot of food goes to waste while there are still people struggling to access proper meals. A platform was needed to connect donors with beneficiaries.

Manual Coordination

The coordination process between donors, distribution teams, and beneficiaries was done manually, causing delays and potential food spoilage before reaching its destination.

Scalability Issues

The old monolith architecture couldn’t handle increased traffic and made it difficult for the team to add new features without disrupting the running system.

The Solution

WhatsApp Notification Bot

Integration with Fonnte WhatsApp Gateway to send automatic notifications to donors and beneficiaries about donation status.

Midtrans Payment Integration

Cash donations can be made easily through various payment methods integrated with Midtrans payment gateway.

Google Drive Integration

Automated document and distribution photo management with Google Drive API, facilitating tracking and activity reporting.

Microservices Migration

Migrated from Laravel monolith architecture to microservices with Next.js frontend, Golang core API, and FastAPI for mobile backend.
